Hall, Hancock and Romeo Score YellowBullet Nationals Victories at Cecil County Dragway

The FuelTech Radial Outlaws Racing Series returned to Cecil County Dragway for the 2026 YellowBullet Nationals, with Pro 275, Limited Drag Radial, and Ultra Street competing during the September 4–6 weekend.

All three categories produced strong fields and close racing as the championship season moved into its final stretch. Mo Hall claimed the Pro 275 victory, Jamie Hancock went from No. 1 qualifier to the Limited Drag Radial winner's circle, and Steve Romeo closed out Ultra Street with the quickest pass of his weekend in a final decided by approximately one-thousandth of a second.

Pro 275

The LAT Racing Oils Pro 275 field featured 16 cars, with Blaine Johnson leading qualifying after a 3.686-second pass at 203.58 mph. Jared Ring qualified second with a 3.695, while Mo Hall entered eliminations from the No. 3 position after running a 3.701 at 202.45 mph.

Hall immediately stepped up during the opening round, running a 3.658 at 203.37 mph against Nick Lacerenza. The pass stood as the quickest elapsed time of the Pro 275 event.

In round two, Hall faced Michael Nale. Nale held the starting-line advantage with a .007 reaction time, but Hall's 3.691 at 202.61 mph was enough to overcome Nale's 3.754 and advance.

Hall then met Jared Ring in the semifinals. Ring encountered trouble and slowed to a 7.244, while Hall posted another consistent 3.699 at 202.15 mph to earn his place in the final.

On the opposite side of the ladder, Johnson advanced through Dylan Cato, Grantley Schloss, and Marcus Birt to set up a final between the No. 1 and No. 3 qualifiers.

Hall was sharp when the tree dropped, leaving with a .007 reaction time and running a 3.669 at 203.00 mph. Johnson encountered trouble during the pass and slowed to a 5.206, giving Hall the YellowBullet Nationals Pro 275 victory.

Limited Drag Radial

The VP Racing Fuels Limited Drag Radial category brought 24 competitors to Cecil County, with Jamie Hancock setting the qualifying pace in his 1968 Camaro.

Hancock claimed the No. 1 position with a 3.888 at 184.19 mph. Brian Weddle qualified second at 3.928, followed by Keith Rhea, Jon Walters, and Tommy Youmans.

Hancock opened eliminations on a single before facing Ron Rhodes in round two. Rhodes left before the tree with a -.006 red light, while Hancock completed the run with a 3.894 at 183.74 mph.

Round three presented a different challenge as both Hancock and Wally Farbaky encountered trouble. Hancock slowed to a 5.107, but it was enough to defeat Farbaky's 6.154 and move into the semifinals.

That set up one of the closest LDR races of the weekend against Tommy Youmans. Both drivers recorded identical .046 reaction times, leaving the race to be decided on track. Hancock ran a 3.897 at 184.72 mph to defeat Youmans' 3.937 at 195.53 mph.

Dale Arnold advanced from the No. 10 qualifying position on the opposite side of the ladder, defeating Bob Monaghan, Erik Hendricks, and Dustin Cotton before advancing with a bye in the semifinals.

In the final, Arnold gained a slight advantage at the start with a .040 reaction time to Hancock's .054. Hancock responded with a 3.890 at 185.26 mph, while Arnold slowed to a 7.918.

The win completed a strong weekend for Hancock, who qualified No. 1 and finished the event in the Limited Drag Radial winner's circle.

Ultra Street

Ultra Street produced the largest field of the three RORS categories at YellowBullet Nationals, with 33 cars making qualifying attempts for the 32-car elimination field.

Steve Romeo led qualifying in his 1967 Chevelle with a 4.406 at 162.43 mph. Connor Hartsock qualified second at 4.435, followed closely by Bob Cook at 4.436 and Paul Burchill at 4.437.

Romeo carried his qualifying performance into eliminations, opening with another 4.406 to defeat Eric Bardekoff.

In round two, Romeo improved to a 4.398 at 161.79 mph against Jessie Coulter. He followed that with a 4.417 to defeat Joe Glockner in round three before facing Burchill in the semifinals.

Romeo combined a .012 reaction time with a 4.402 at 161.79 mph to defeat Burchill's 4.438 and advance to the final.

Ryan Grigsby worked his way through the field from the No. 11 qualifying position. His semifinal matchup against No. 2 qualifier Connor Hartsock was decided at the starting line. Hartsock ran the quicker elapsed time, 4.418 to Grigsby's 4.433, but Grigsby's .021 reaction time gave him enough advantage over Hartsock's .070 to take the holeshot victory.

The final produced an even tighter race.

Grigsby was nearly perfect at the tree with a .006 reaction time, giving him a .071-second advantage over Romeo's .077 light.

Romeo needed his best pass of the weekend to make up the difference and delivered a 4.346 at 163.22 mph. Grigsby ran a strong 4.418 at 158.93 mph.

When reaction time and elapsed time were combined, Romeo reached the finish approximately one-thousandth of a second ahead, securing the Ultra Street victory in one of the closest races of the weekend.

With YellowBullet Nationals complete, the FuelTech Radial Outlaws Racing Series now turns its attention to the final event of the 2026 season.

Mo Hall and Jamie Hancock leave Cecil County with important victories as the championship battles head toward No Mercy 17 at South Georgia Motorsports Park, October 7–11.

The season finale will carry double points, adding even more importance to every qualifying position and elimination-round win as the 2026 championships are decided.
