Rob Golobo had an incredible weekend at Lights Out 16 at South Georgia Motorsports Park, driving his ProCharged Corvette to victory against an ultra-competitive VP Racing LDR field.
Event Highlights
- Qualifying: Locked in the No. 5 qualifying spot with a 3.884 at 193.35mph.
- Round 1: Launched his way into the next round with a 3.94 against Eric Jarvis.
- Round 2: Took down Lyle Barnett with a 3.91.
- Round3: Defeated Jamie Stanton with a 3.91.
- Semifinals: Got the win vs Kenny Hubbard with a 3.90 to advance to the finals.
- Finals: Clinched the LDR victory with a nail-biting holeshot win over Greg Blevins Jr. Golobo ran a 3.91 to Greg's 3.90.
Golobo’s Reflections on the Win
"Had an amazing week at Lights Out 16! To put this hot rod on the dance floor and see it perform at this level all week—I couldn’t be happier with how everything came together," Golobo shared.
He also gave a huge shoutout to the entire LDR class, acknowledging the competition:
"You guys rock! The competition is at an extreme level, and I can’t thank you enough for pushing me to be better!"

With Lights Out 16 in the books, Golobo is ready to keep the momentum going into the rest of the Radial Outlaws Racing Series season, including the Jerry Bickel Race Cars Battle for the Thrones event at Rockingham Dragway Mach 27-29th
