Bama Outlaws Crowns Seven Winners at Alabama International Dragway
Lyle Barnett, Isaac Preston, Brett Lasala, Davey Hull, Ronny Rhodes, Robert Strong, and Maddie Malone emerged victorious as the Radial Outlaws Racing Series continued its 2026 season at Alabama International Dragway for the annual Bama Outlaws event presented by Truckworx and Scott Tidwell Racing.
Bama Outlaws served as the 1.5x points event on the 2026 Radial Outlaws Racing Series schedule, making it one of the most important races of the season for championship hopefuls. The increased points payout added extra weight to every round of competition throughout the weekend.
Radial vs. The World
Lyle Barnett claimed the ProCharger Radial vs. The World victory after qualifying second and putting together a consistent performance throughout eliminations. Following a first-round bye, Barnett defeated Cory Reed with a 3.510 at 213.16 mph in the second round before advancing to the final when David Reese went red in the semifinals.
Waiting in the final was top qualifier Ken Quartuccio, who defeated Jordan Lazic and Manny Buginga on his way to the 4th and final round. The final proved to be one of the closest races of the weekend even though it was a pedal fest, with Barnett's .025 reaction time and 5.279 pass edging Quartuccio's .039 reaction time and 5.281 by just .016 seconds at the finish line.
Pro 275
Isaac Preston converted his No. 1 qualifying position into a victory in LAT Racing Oils Pro 275.
After receiving a first-round bye, Preston defeated Luke Smith in round two and advanced past Eddie Harrison in the semifinals when Harrison red-lighted. On the opposite side of the ladder, Nick Lacerenza put together an impressive run from the No. 11 qualifying position, defeating Lyle Barnett in round one and Jared Ring in the semifinals.
The final round was decided at the starting line as Lacerenza turned on the red light, allowing Preston to secure the victory with a 3.677 at 208.91 mph.
Limited Drag Radial
Brett LaSala put together one of the strongest performances of the weekend to capture the VP Racing Fuels Limited Drag Radial victory.
Qualified third, Lasala defeated Jimmy Dale in round one before running 3.842 at 199.95 mph to get past Wally Farbaky in round two. He followed that up with a semifinal victory over Jamie Stanton, posting a 3.798 at 203.16 mph to earn a place in the final.
Top qualifier Jamie Hancock stood in his way, but LaSala left first and ran an unbelievable 3.762 at 204.35 mph to defeat Hancock's 3.808 and secure the LDR win.
X275
Davey Hull emerged on top of one of the largest and most competitive fields of the weekend to earn the X275 victory.
Hull qualified fifth and worked his way through a stacked ladder, defeating Chris Gould in round two and Sean Lyon in round three. He followed that with a semifinal victory over Hailey Hawes to advance to the final round.
On the other side of the ladder, Stephen Barnett defeated DJ McCain in the semifinals to earn his place in the final. Hull's stellar .002 reaction time proved to be the difference in the final round, as he held off Barnett's 4.067 with a 4.097 at 176.81 mph to claim the victory.
Ultra Street
Ronny Rhodes claimed the Ultra Street victory after qualifying No. 1 and carrying that momentum through eliminations.
Rhodes opened with a win over Tony Orts, then defeated Bob Cook in round two with a 4.428 at 153.19 mph. In the semifinals, he advanced past Joel Greathouse, running 4.368 at 160.00 mph to reach the final.
The final paired Rhodes with No. 2 qualifier Jessie Coulter. Coulter left first with a .013 reaction time and ran 4.398 at 162.83 mph, but Rhodes had enough performance to drive around him with a 4.353 at 160.48 mph and secure the Ultra Street win.
X255
Robert Strong captured the SP Tools X255 victory after a consistent day of eliminations.
The sixth qualifier defeated Kevin Robinson in round two and got a broke bye in the semis when Jimmy Harris couldn't make the call. Across the ladder, top qualifier Bill Kubiac defeated Jonathan Insley to reach the final.
The final round produced one of the most unique finishes of the event, as both drivers posted identical 4.825-second elapsed times. Strong's .041 reaction time gave him the edge over Kubiac's .081, securing the X255 victory.
Gangster X
Maddie Malone added her name to the winner's list by capturing the Gangster X title in her home state of Alabama.
Malone entered eliminations as the top qualifier and backed it up with victories over Chris Turner and Ducky Johnson to reach her bye run in the semifinals.
In the final round, Malone faced Troy Pirez Jr, who advanced with victories over Mike Smith, Cole Rysler, and Dustin Johnson. Malone completed her impressive run through the field to secure the Gangster X victory and close out a successful weekend at Alabama International Dragway.
Looking Ahead
With Bama Outlaws complete, the Radial Outlaws Racing Series turns its attention to the next stop on the 2026 schedule, the Battle for the Thrones x Kentucky Clash at US60 Dragway. Early championship contenders have begun to emerge, but with several events still remaining, the title battles in every class are only getting started.
