DJ McCain Wins X275 at No Mercy 17, Davey Hull Takes Championship

DJ McCain closed out No Mercy 17 with an X275 victory, defeating No. 1 qualifier Trevor Fuqua in the final round at South Georgia Motorsports Park.

The season finale also decided the FuelTech Radial Outlaws Racing Series championship, with Davey Hull taking the X275 title.

McCain qualified his 2006 Corvette second with a 4.080 at 174.53 mph. Following a single in the opening round, he ran 4.094 at 173.58 mph to defeat Andrew Tovornik.

A 4.099 at 173.94 mph against Cameron Marsolf sent McCain into the semifinals, where he faced Hull. McCain posted a 4.044 at 179.71 mph to advance to the final.

The final paired the top two qualifiers, and McCain was first away with a .009 reaction time. He ran 4.057 at 176.07 mph to take the win over Fuqua, who posted a 4.091 at 179.42 mph.
