Kenny Hubbard Races to LDR Victory at 2025 Bama Outlaws
Kenny Hubbard capped off an outstanding weekend at the 2025 Bama Outlaws at Alabama International Dragway, securing a hard-fought victory in the highly competitive Limited Drag Radial (LDR) class. Hubbard combined exceptional reaction times and consistent performance to edge out some of radial racing’s toughest competitors, ultimately bringing home the Yeti trophy.
Event Highlights
Qualified #1: Hubbard immediately set the pace, grabbing the number-one qualifying spot with a stout 3.869 at 186.64 mph.
Round 1: Hubbard began eliminations with a bye run, spinning the tires and slowing to a 7.78, but gained critical data to adjust for the next rounds.
Round 2: Rebounding quickly, Hubbard defeated Brett LaSala, clocking a solid 3.913 to LaSala’s 3.984.
Round 3: In a thrilling matchup against Chad Henderson, Hubbard’s lightning-quick .001 reaction time allowed him to score a huge holeshot victory. Hubbard’s 3.900 edged Henderson’s quicker 3.888, highlighting his impressive driving skills.
Semifinals: Hubbard continued his consistent runs, posting a 3.899 at 186.91 mph to defeat Rob Goss and securing his spot in the finals.
Finals: Hubbard faced off against Tommy Youmans and his powerful twin-turbo GTO. Once again, Hubbard’s quick reflexes (.012 reaction) made the difference, clinching another holeshot win with a 3.878, narrowly besting Youmans’ quicker but losing 3.866.
