Tyler Bedell Stuns Ultra Street Field at 2025 Battle for the Thrones
In an incredible showing at his very first Radial Outlaws event, Tyler Bedell drove his carbureted, big-block nitrous Camaro to victory in Ultra Street at the 2025 Battle for the Thrones at Rockingham Dragway. Bedell’s journey from a modest qualifying position to the winner’s circle was a sight to see.
Event Highlights
- Qualifying: Bedell started the weekend in a challenging position, qualifying 14th with a 4.501 at 154.64 mph.
- Round 1: Tyler secured a first-round victory over Jason Spina, running 4.524 at 155.23 mph, beginning his climb through the field.
- Round 2: Bedell improved with a solid 4.503, defeating tough competitor Davey Hull to advance further into eliminations.
- Semifinals: He continued his steady performances, running 4.502 at 154 mph to win against Terry Wilson, who unfortunately turned on the red light.
- Finals: In a showdown against Jackson Henderson, Bedell saved his best for last, clocking an impressive 4.490 at 155 mph to take the Ultra Street title.
Bedell was ecstatic and emotional about his victory at his first-ever Radial Outlaws Racing Series event:
"Words can’t describe this. My first-ever DuckX race, being number 14 qualifier, and we put this carbureted big block nitrous car in the top spot! John killed it on his end, and I did my best driving job I could on mine. Bill Trovato built us an awesome big block, and BTR power carried this car into the 40’s in the final. Dale Cubic’s carb has been flawless—it’s nice to win as a carb car in a field full of fuel-injected machines. Huge thanks to Jake Holdrege, Jamie Stanton, and Pentagon Race Fab for helping this car go 1.03 to the 60’. And of course, thanks to Jeff Kinsler and crew, Connor Hartsock, Dylan Wile, and my family for all your support. The realest Ultra Street car just won Ultra at a DuckX race. We brought this home for the Cecil County Shark Pond guys—I can’t wait to put this chair in the living room!"
The next stop on the Radial Outlaws Racing Series tour is Bama Outlaws presented by Truckworx, April 29th-May 3rd at Alabama International Dragway.
