Jessie Coulter Captures Ultra Street Victory at Lights Out 17

Ultra Street delivered one of the deepest and most competitive fields of Lights Out 17, and when the final win light came on, it was Jessie Coulter of Bowling Green, Kentucky who stood on top. The 2025 Ultra Street Champion added another major win to his resume with a composed and disciplined performance from start to finish.

Coulter qualified number five heading into eliminations, placing himself right in the heart of a stacked ladder filled with mid 4.40 cars and sharp reaction times. From the opening round, he looked comfortable and in control.

As eliminations progressed, Coulter’s Mustang proved to be consistent and predictable, allowing him to focus on execution at the starting line. That combination of driver confidence and a repeatable setup began to separate him from the field.

In Round Three, Coulter advanced past Jackson Henderson with a 4.456 at 155.69 mph and a .044 reaction time, earning a spot in the semifinals. The pressure increased, but the 2025 class champion showed exactly why he holds that title. His ability to stay calm and deliver under pressure carried him into the final round.

The final round paired Coulter against Rodney Ragan, who had also been strong throughout eliminations. Coulter left with a .035 reaction time and ran 4.466 at 162.84 mph. Ragan was right there with a .031 light and a 4.471 at 160.16 mph, but Coulter’s steady performance on both ends of the racetrack secured the victory.

It was not a runaway pass or a dramatic holeshot. It was a champion’s race built on control, rhythm, and precision. With the win at Lights Out 17, Jessie Coulter continues to prove why he is one of the standard bearers in Ultra Street competition within the FuelTech Radial Outlaws Racing Series.
